| Meet The Trustees |

Dr David Skipp, father of Tim, is chairman of the Timios Trust which was set up in 1999 in memory of his son. He has just retired after 30 years as a GP but maintains an interest in medicine as a deputy coroner. He has organised and completed many fund raising events on behalf of the Trust including cycling in a group from Land’s End to John O Groats, climbing the 3 Peaks and running multiple marathons. Richard Budden has been a Trustee since The Timios Trust was established in 1999 and, as Secretary, he is the Trust’s primary point of contact. He is a retired Actuary who has worked in both the private and public sectors. After leaving university, Richard spent two years teaching maths, in French, in a Baptist mission school in the Congo, before gap years had been invented! Like all the current Trustees, he knew Tim Skipp well. Jeremy Taylor (MBE) has been the Treasurer of the Trust since it started and is Tim’s uncle. He taught RE in Sussex schools for many years and was Director of Education for the Diocese of Chichester for 8 years before retiring in 2009. He is a Reader in the Church of England, belonging to a church in Sussex. He is still involved in RE policy making nationally and enjoys travel, photography and preaching. Claire Lawson has been involved in support work for Christian ministry for over thirty years, working alongside her husband Michael in parishes and the London Diocese. Her friendship and connection with the Skipp family goes back similarly for thirty years from when Michael and Claire moved to Horsham to begin Michael’s first curacy. Claire is a founder trustee of the Timios Trust. Dr Joanna Burt is the elder of Tim’s two sisters. She has been a trustee since the Timios Trust was formed, and was passionate that the Trust reflected Tim’s love of travelling and willingness to help people in need in a practical way. She is a GP and mum of three lively boys who keep her busy! She is always amazed by what has been achieved in Tim’s memory and loves reading the reports sent in by recipients of grants. Benjamin Skipp is the most recent trustee of the Timios Trust, joining in June 2010. He is the younger brother of Tim, and the fourth member of Tim's family to be on the board of trustees. Ben is a lecturer in Music at Oxford University and attends an Anglican Church in Oxford. He oversees the Timios website, updating it with reports and adding photographs of fundraising events.
